Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to describe the rural areas of the Republic of Moldova, through the relevant social
and economic characteristics. The national strategy of the sustainable development of the rural areas in Republic of
Moldova assume very clearly the need of maintaining of the macroeconomic balances and implementation of a suitable
and coherent complex of economical politics adjusted to the EU objectives, which will bring to achievement of the
sustainable development and the operational goals by the horizons of the 2020 year. The data set of the socioeconomical indicators of the rural area represents an important factual base useful for mathematical modeling of the
macroeconomic processes, which will make possible to define adequate plans for implementing a sustainable
development strategy in context of EU integration, and the possibility of adjusting this strategy depending on the real
regional economical situation.
