Abstract:
In the Republic of Moldova the production of apples has a special place, ensuring the economic growth of the country and the incomes of the population from the rural sector. The predominant channel in the Moldovan apple sector involves the production of apples in a traditional orchard, exported by the grower or trader to different market channels through truck markets and only a little quantity of apples are produced in modern, intensive orchards which are sold through soffisticated market channels. In this scientific research is analyzed the situation of the apple producing sector, the competitiveness of apples producing enterprises using the value channel, the major problems the enterprises are facing regarding the apple marketplace.
