Abstract:
At present, subsidies represent one of the ways to support and promote rural entrepreneurship; therefore its efficientization represents an important tool to promote economic growth and poverty reduction in rural areas. Consequently, this paper presents an analysis of the territorial distribution of subsidies from the total amount of subsidies paid in 2012 per developing regions of the Republic of Moldova (including per districts) according to the following criteria: total amount of subsidies paid to all beneficiaries who are residents of developing regions and districts, the volume of subsidies paid per capita and the amount of subsidies distributed per hectare of total area of agricultural enterprises for each developing region and district. The article also presents an analysis of the directions of subsidies use by the farmers.
